Tuesday Fun!

If you are working on this week's art lesson today you need to:
Read lesson here and practice drawing two different animals in your sketchbook. Send pic to me.

Just for fun:
Use your cell phone and the things around you to find letters! Do you have a window in your house that looks like an "o" or a handle on an object that could be a "c"??? Open up your eyes to what is around you and see if you can observe enough letters to make a word! Use the free version of this photo editing software if you want to put them all together or change to black and white. Have some fun and remember to send me the picture!

Welcome back from Spring Break!

Learning Plan for the week of April 13 – 17: (turn in to jennifer.heyser@cobbk12.org)

Monday: Introduction to Fauvism. Read this handout. Pick 1 artist listed, research their fauvist paintings, and sketch your favorite in your sketchbook. Send pic to me. 

Tuesday: Read lesson here and practice drawing two different animals in your sketchbook. Send pic to me.

Wednesday: Draw chosen animal on good paper (use sketchbook paper if that is all you have) and trace with oil pastel, crayon, marker or colored pencil (use what you have). Color animal with "fauvist" colors. 


Thursday: Complete artwork by creating a background.  Optional: Write a short story about the animal that includes the animal’s environment and explains why the colors are bright and bold instead of realistic.
