Learning Plan for the week of April 13 – 17: (turn in to jennifer.heyser@cobbk12.org)
Monday: Introduction to Folk Art. Read this handout. Look at the found art folk art of Michelle Stitzlein, who creates with recycled materials. Research insects that you would be interested in making a recycled material sculpture of. Do a sketch. Send pic to me. Tuesday: Sketch insect on cardboard and cut out. Don't forget to make it big enough so you have room to add decorative pieces. Possible cardboard can be found in pizza boxes, cereal boxes, and any delivery box. Send pic to me.
Wednesday: Begin creating inner detail and expand the design.
Thursday: Complete artwork and send pic to me. Optional: add a hanging hook and put up somewhere in your room (ask permission first).
