Sculpture Vocabulary Quiz

7th and 8th graders will have their sculpture vocabulary quiz on Friday 3/23. Don't forget to study your notes and the Kahoot!

Want to learn more about artists that are contemporary artists making art today? Check out this great series from PBS! Many of the artists you are currently studying for our "talking gallery" project are represented there. A great way to learn more and to find inspiration!

Homework for 8th

Please bring in a color copy of the artwork you have chosen for the "Talking Gallery." It needs to be at least 8 x 10. If you have trouble finding a big enough quality image try searching on Wikipedia! They often have excellent copies. If you can not find one let me know.

How to Post Recordings

How to upload your recording:

1)  Save your audio file on your phone. Give it a name you can remember.

2)  Go to www.vocaroo.com (this is a free service)

3)  Click to upload the audio file you just recorded. (upper right corner)

4)  It will provide you with a link where your recording can be found – save this link! Take a screen shot AND select to copy.

5)  Go to www.qrstuff.com

6)  Past the audio link into the page and generate a qr code.

7)  Screenshot your qr code and download it if possible. We will need the code for the art gallery.

8)  Email your qr code to: thecrayonlab@gmail.com

Be sure to put your name in the subject area!

I could not be more excited to share with you my new Merge Cubes! If you have a device, and would like to explore this interactive virtual reality (VR) experience, please download one of the free apps listed below. I will have cubes for everyone that wants to try. 

Start thinking about how we can use these to learn, review, and assess in the art room. We can even design our OWN VR experience using the Metaverse app (free). Let's explore together and have fun learning!
